UNIVERSAL INDIANS feat. JOE McPHEE
John Dikeman (sax), Jon Rune Strøm (bas), Tollef Østvang (drum), Joe McPhee (trompet, sax, cornet, ventieltrombone)

William Parker - bass solo
+
Grégoire Tirtiaux (different saxophones)
Jan Pillaert ( bastuba & trombone )
Peter Jacquemyn (bass & voice)
William Parker was born Bronx, New York City. He was not formally trained as a classical player, though he did study with Jimmy Garrison, Richard Davis, and Wilbur Ware and learned the tradition. Parker is one of few jazz bassists who regularly plays arco. He also plays several other instruments from around the world, including the West African kora.
While Parker has been active since the early 1970s; he has had a higher public profile since the early 1990s. William Parker first came to public attention with pianist Cecil Taylor. He has long been a member of saxophonist David S. Ware's quartet and in Peter Brötzmann' s groups.
He is a member of the cooperative Other Dimensions In Music. Together with his wife organizes the annual Vision Festival in New York City.
A note: I'll be always grateful to William Parker for donating a double bass to Henry Grimes.
Grégoire Tirtiaux (different saxophones)
Jan Pillaert ( bastuba & trombone )
Peter Jacquemyn (bass & voice)
Trio around the unique Peter Jacquemyn. Plays in his own unique and powerful way, plus helped out to make this line-up possible. Peter is coming to play with the tallest musician in Brussels called Grégoir Tirtiaux, who's bringing different saxophones. And sided by the incredible rhythmic and yelling tuba player Jan Pillaert.

Kim Doo Soo / Daniel Higgs & Michael Zerag Duo
DANIEL HIGGS & MICHAEL ZERANG DUO

NEW BUMS > BEN CHASNY & DONOVAN QUINN

Kjetil Brandsdal - Bass solo
Frederic Alstadt - feedback solo
N.M.O - aka Morten & Ruben Patino
Ripit
NMO : (text taken from boomkat )
Total aces from the improvising, No Wave percussion/electronics duo Morton J Olsen and Rubén Patiño aka NMO on Barcelona's crucial Anòmia label. Operating somewhere between Powell's technoid incisions and Russell Haswell's freestyle freakouts, the duo's 2nd EP - following the cracking 'Dominant Akkord' cassette - yields four cuts of militant, awkward electro-acoustic funk bowling between the deranged reggaeton cyberpunk of 'Full Spectrum Dominance' and the robo-bogling 'Parasomething' to a swaggering No Wave banger named 'Dirty Huts' and the tense, roiling snares and freakish, bubbling computer signals of 'Special GesamtkunstwerkKunst'. They're one of the best new acts we've discovered in recent times, and this is one of our favourite EPs of 2014 so far. Do not sleep on these guys!
Kjetil Brandsdal :
Bassist Kjetil D Brandsdal has been a prominent figure in the Norwegian
experimental music circuit since the mid 90’s. He has appeared on more
than 50 releases either solo or in various band formats (Ultralyd, Drid… ). He is also a
member of the band Noxagt (Load records) together with John Hegre & Jan Christian Kyvik.
Ripit :
Ripit, a.k.a Nicolas Esterle, started his musical activities as a black metal guitar player in 1995. In 1998 he turns into radical electronic, developping a noisy, rythmical and psychedelic sound based on primitive synthesizer use. He evoluates to a more complex form of sound tending to beat micro-surgery and orchestral bombast.
He released over 100 records on numerous label such as Tesla Tapes, Idiosyncratics, Angstrom, Bruit De Fond, Zhark, Yb70, Solis Kanones, Rexistenz... and toured several times in North America and Europe.
In 2007, he founded the concrete Dub/Mutant Rap project FUJAKO with portuguese Dub strategist HHY (
www.soopa.org).
For this event he will present his more harsh aspect of sonic warfare using early digital mixer in no-input mode, to create a storm of sonic pixels. evolving, sometimes rythmic, always in the red !
Frederic Alstadt:
Ångstrom records & studio's sound architect, he's credited since the late 90s on many records as producer / mastering engineer.
In a performative context he explores the physicality of sound, the moment when the body becomes deeply vibration, organic palpable boundaries between the auditory and sensitive, to the loss of reference. He'll present one of his project built around a still turntable, without vinyl, useless, victim of a heralded end of the recording medium. This turntable together with the PA, architectural space and audience, are turned into a massive oscillator challenging the body with deep sub basses.
Expect Deep analog and organic pulsating drones where Bruitism meets quiet meditative.
the concerts will end with Morten Olsen, half NMO, playing techno vinyls

Yannick Guédon & Thomas Bernardet
Thomas Bernardet studied photography and video art at the Beaux-arts in Toulouse and Marseille, and as an exchange student at the Kent Institute of Art and Design. He has been living and working in Brussels since 2004. His work addresses the conditions in which an image, whether still or moving, is captured and shown. The presence of abstraction in documentary images is also a recurring theme. He has recently shown his work at Vidéodanses festival in Centre Pompidou, Galerie Magda Danys in Paris, True Color Museum, Suzhou in China, Gallery Mot International in Brussels and Galerie Point to Point in Nîmes. His film “Les Doubres” won the Grand Jury Prize at Transmediales Berlin.
Yannick Guédon
Yannick Guédon is a French born composer, singer and performance artist, currently living in Brussels. His work focuses on tiny variations of timbres, the inner pulsation sensations and subjective notions of time, silence and error. Moreover he pays particular attention to the place and context in which each musical situation is displayed.
In 2006 he wrote his first piece, pitulatif, for a solo voice. He followed it with ticdê (2007) a vocal trio, infimie (2007) for voice, electroacoustic, video and light, soupir (2009) and pause (2010) for clarinet, guitar, percussion, cello and voice. In 2011 he initiated the project a _ t e m p _ s , cycle of sound situations for voice, treble viola da gamba and field-recording, in which one or several guest artists may be invited. It generated

Since 2002 he has been involved in many pieces and site specific performances created by the choreographer Laurent Pichaud.
10 AUGUST - Zuiderpershuis, Timmerwerfstraat 40, 2000 Antwerpen
With The Atom Brain, Mark Lanegan Band ... ) als dj Aldolino de vrije baan
