The Historias Minimas show of 24 March 2024 consisted of a retrospective of the work of Peter Gabriel over the past 50 years - covering two of the albums he recorded with Genesis in the 1970s and then all his solo albums from 1977 to 2023.
Overall the retrospective was celebrating the 50 years since the release of the album Selling England by the Pound, 30 years since the big Peter Gabriel tour ‘Secret World Live’ 1993/94 and live album and 20 years since the presenter of the show Ian Clark had last seen Peter Gabriel live in Brussels in 2004 - for which there is also a live album. Radio Panik host, Jon Parker, had seen Peter Gabriel in 2013 in Brussels.
The show included two Genesis songs - I Know What I Like and the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - Peter Gabriel’s main hits Solsbury Hill, Games Without Frontiers, Sledgehammer, Don’t Give Up and Steam plus songs that feature in all his concerts Biko, In Your Eyes, Come Talk To Me, Secret World, Shaking the Tree, Red Rain , More than This, Growing Upii and a track from the 2023 album I/O Playing For Time. A tour is awaited in 2024 and 2025.
Tom Sideris from ERT World/Voice of Greece chipped in that Peter Gabriel played maybe his most famous concert ever in Athens, Greece on the 5 October 1987 at the Lycabettus Theatre, leading to a film produced by Martin Scorsese. He also wrote the music for Martin Scorsese’s film, the Last Temptation of Christ. Peter Gabriel played two other Greek concerts in 1988 for Amnesty International, and came again to Athens in 2004 at the Rockwave Festival.
